Hi there,
This is an entrant for the Artin contest in 1/43 scale. The second
pic is just another view of the same car.
It is built on a stock Artin chassis and is all plastic
construction. The body is an amalgam of several parts from novelty
trucks. The fenders and running boards are glued directly to the
chassis, with the remaining body components added bit by bit. The theme
of the car is a not-too-subtle moonshine hauler for the most audacious of
bootleggers. The "XXX" markings indicated the strength of the liquor.
I have many others if exhibiting is welcome, but this will be my entry.
Thank you,

This is the #63 Mercedes C9, winner, Le Mans 1989, driven by
Jochen Mass/Manuel Reuter/Stanley Dickens. The body is an Airfix 1/43 model.
I used an H2 Artin chassis where I removed the front axle and cut the chassis
right at the front of the braids. I then mounted the Artin front axle in the original
front axle mount of the Airfix body and fitted the assembly under the body,
making two mounting holes on the wings of the chassis (on each side) where
I use two Artin body screws to mount the chassis into small plastic
blocks glued into the chassis. The car is a ton of fun to drive !!!

Hi Dodi, Frank and others ,
Here is my entry for the Artin contest: the HO-scale Mustang as ordered from SCW. Attached are a few pictures of the finished car. I planed a very wild Mustang but switched to a more classic look for the car. First I disassembled the car into parts. After that the axles were shortened to get wheels and tyres inside the body work. The wheels got an alu finish to look more realistic.
The rear spoiler on the body was removed by using a scalpel knife and sandpaper. A rear wing was glued on the the rear. (One of my son's Hotwheels is missing a wing now, I have to compensate him for that.) Next was spraying primer and gloss white paint and stripes. The last step was applying bare metal foil to the side skirts. The result:
Briggs Cunninham (historic #9) joining forces with Carol Shelby. Or is it The Fast and the Furious part 5?

Here is my entry for the 2003-2004 Artin contest in the 1/43 scale car division. This is a 69 Mach 1 Mustang. The body is from an AMT model kit, with a chasis from an OLD Artin car I bought on eBay. The motor was a spare. The wheels and tires are from a new J2 chasis (fire truck). The spoilers and window louvers are from a 1/43 Matchbox diecast 70 Mustang. The hood scoop is custom formed using the Matchbox scoop as a base. The headlights are LEDs from a RadioShack XMODS parts kit and took longer to engineer than all the rest of the car put together. I could quite figure out how to get a good still with them on, so I left the power off. In a few days, I will have the start-to-finish story with pictures posted at http://members.cox.net/katarr.
Thanks for considering my entry,ROBIN.
